A Guardian home dog is one that you and I enter into an agreement. You will receive a pup from me to raise as your own We will pay for the pup vaccination and rabies up to the age of 18 weeks. All breeding and testing will be solely the responsibility of the breeder. You as the guardian home, we’ll have the responsibility of the yearly upkeep for the dog (Example Any additional vaccinations, Flea, tick, heart worm Preventatives, Grooming, Basic Obedience classes etc.)
What is a Guardian Dog?
A Guardian Dog is placed through an agreement where you receive a carefully selected puppy to raise as your own. When they reach breeding age, they return to me for breeding and whelping. After raising the litter, they come back to you until the next breeding. The dog remains the property of Kemerer Springer until retirement, when they are spayed or neutered and become fully yours.
Once the (FEMALE) dog becomes the age to be bred, we, the breeder, will have the vet do a wellness exam to ensure the dog is up to par with our breeding program. Along with any genetic testing that we would like done. The dog will come back to our home temporarily for breeding and head back to you. About a week before her due date, we would schedule an X-ray, and she would stay with the breeder for a period of 6-8 weeks for whelping and nursing pups. Visits and interaction are welcome when she is here with updates on how she is doing. When the dog is bred the 3rd and 4th litters, the guardian will be given $75.00 per live pup that has gone to their forever homes.
Once the (MALE) dog becomes the age to be bred, we, the breeder, will have the vet do a wellness exam to ensure the dog is up to par with our breeding program. Along with any genetic testing that we would like done. The dog will return to our home temporarily for breeding and return to you. Male breeding visits are different from the female visits. When the dog is bred the 5th, 6th, and 7th litters, the guardian will be given $75.00 per live pup that has gone to their forever homes.
Communication is key in this agreement, we will have an open line of communication.
We have a questionnaire that can be filled out with additional information, and for us to get to know you and see if you and your family are a good fit for the Guardian home Program. Along with that, we will be able to chat about the contract and any other Questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
